He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur May and Alta May (Robbins); his wife Janet LaCroix; his son Wilbert May; and his siblings, Beverly, Sue, Roy, Kenny, Charles and JoEllen.
He is survived by: his children, Mary King (Troy) and James May Jr.; his grandchildren, John Boerder Sr. (Amanda), Holly Watson (Steve), Desiree' Prince (Jason), Troy King Jr. (Zachary), Mishel' Shepherd (Jimmy) and Davon May; and his great grandchildren, John Jr., Sierra, Erica, Donovan, Hazel, Rowan, Freya, Wyatt, Elliott, Emmett and Rhett.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home (233 Northbound Gratiot Ave, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
