He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Demetrakeas and Stella Demetrakeas. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Stella Borst (Richard), Sandra Brown (Andrew) and Donald Demetrakeas (Alison); and his sister Toula Macres (Peter). He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes would be appreciated to American Lung Association.
