With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gelan Renee Schmidt (Macomb, Michigan), who passed away on January 14, 2019 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Bernard; her children, Bernard IV (Rachel) and Lindsey; her grandchildren, Hunter, Ryder and Parker; her parents, Michael Thaxton and Mildred Thaxton; and her siblings, Brent Thaxton (Deanna), Denise LaPerre (Mike) and Rodney Thaxton (Jen).
