He was predeceased by: his parents, John Russell and Dorothy Russell (Schoenrock); and his brother Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Koerber of John's Chapel; his children, Jackie Scheuerlein (Scott), Jennifer Russell and John Russell; his grandchildren, Tammie McGill (Paul), Elizabeth, Heather, Jenna and Jordyn; and his great grandchildren, Aliyah and Alaina.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (18201 23 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48042). A committal service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
