She was predeceased by: her parents, Dulcie Mielczarski (Kosmowski) and Anthony Mielczarski; her sister Mary Ereaux; and her brother-in-law David. She is survived by: her husband Clark Cherry; her children, Denise Szewczul (late Ronald), Clark Cherry (Patty), Chris Cherry, Carl Cherry (Kerri) and Michael Cherry (Cara); her grandchildren, Renee (Nick Somers), Kayla, Sarah, Matthew, Kyle, Nicholas, Rachel, Jacob, Logan, Sierra, Caitlin and Colin; and her sisters, Barbara Nowak (late Ralph), Annette Soave (late John), Judy Preston (Robert), Cynthia Hecker (late Robert) and Alice Adams (Philip).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Veterans of America or St Jude's Children's Hospital.
