With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Michael Gonko of Macomb Township, Michigan, who passed away on September 18, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diane; his siblings, Robert Gonko (Betty) and Karen Russo (Peter); his children, Brady, Derek Schoenherr (Trudy Bushway), Deanna Saputo (Mario), Dan Gonko (Katya Stanislavskaya), Lori Gonko (Bill Luchi), David Schoenherr and Christina "Nina" Gonko (Justin Gillam); and his grandchildren, Giovanni, Kaden, Domenico and Gaby.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lee-Ellena Funeral Home (46530 Romeo Plank Rd, Macomb, MI 48044). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church (41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 11:45 AM at the White Chapel Cemetery.
