With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Aloysius Simon Sr. of Macomb Township, Michigan, born in Fowler, Michigan, who passed away on October 29, 2021 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Simon and Mary Simon (Hufnagel); and his siblings, Paul (Joan), Roman (Rita), Rita Wieber (Carl), Theresa Donovan (Martin), Annie Koenigsknecht (Alfred) and Wilma Thelen (Elmer).

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Schafer; his sons, Donald Simon, Jr. (Redina), Timothy Simon (Karen) and Scott Simon; his grandchildren, Andrew Michael, Timothy Gerard, Jr., Lindsey Elizabeth, Nicholas David and Elizabeth Michelle; and his brother Frank Simon (Barb).
