He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman and Louise Monks, Sr. (Hunt); his daughter Kari Erbentraut; his former wife Colleen Monks; and his siblings, Freeman Monks, Jr. and Betty Lou Smith (Lee).
He is survived by: his wife Annette Monks; his children, Christopher Monks (Kim) and Stephanie Brown (Alex); his son-in-law Brant Erbentraut; his grandchildren, Sadie, Sam Monks, Simon, Brandsen Brown, Alexis and Sophia Erbentraut; and his stepchildren, Misia Bruski and Jesse Howell (Jessica Sigourney).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lyons-Muir Church in memory of Earl.
