He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joseph Smith, Sr. and Gretel E. Smith; his brother William Russel Smith; and his son Bucky Joseph Bouverette. He is survived by: his children, Dana Christopher Smith, Steven Andrew Smith, Eric Smith, Kim Smith Mitchell, Channon Lynn McFarlane, Alicia Keith Allen, Kenneth Maxwell Bouverette and Charlie Ann Bouverette; and his brother Dennis Reed Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
