He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wheaton and Shirley Wheaton (Wiley); and his sisters, Cynthia Harmon and Debra Lindenau. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Castro-Wheaton (Paul) of Montclair California, Billy Wheaton of Ludington and Amanda Hepworth of Custer; his son-in-law Tyler Denton of Ludington; his sisters, Pamela Wheaton and Susie Graczyk (Scott) of Ludington; his former wife Georgia Makowicki; his grandchildren, Dominic, Leigha, Sarah, Tay, Tyler, Noah, Laura, Jenna, Josiah, Emma, Liam and Hans; his daughter Katie Rose Denton; his son-in-law James Hepworth; and his brother-in-law Bill "Bucky" Lindenau. He is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating towards the burial/funeral costs, which includes a planned bench that will be placed at the Ludington State Park.
