He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Walter and Bernice Grace Fargo (Stubbs); his wife Carol A. Boreson; his siblings, Veryl "Sonny" Fargo, Walter Fargo, Donald Fargo, Helen Johnson and Frances Harper; and his brother-in-law Richard Heer.
He is survived by: his son John Fargo Jr. (Nicole) of Walhalla; his grandchildren, Rachel Marie Perez (Roger), Jeremi Hill (Megan), Linzie Tiffany (Doug), Kala Stakenas (Martin) and Carly Lefler (Brian); and his brother Harry Fargo. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild.
