He is survived by: his wife Joan Vander Ziel; his children, Amy Hovey (Foster), Andy Vander Ziel, Melissa Rozelle (Matt), Kelly Repke (Alex) and Kyle Vander Ziel; his grandchildren, Noah Hovey and Baby Rozelle; his mother Yvonne Vander Ziel; and his brother Paul Vander Ziel (Ann). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
