He is survived by: his wife Sally Kapteyn; his children, Ashley Stone (Phil) and Kevin Kapteyn (Annelyse Dlouhy); his granddaughter Brielle Stone; his sisters, Laurie Morrison (Bruce), Amy Kortman and Rachael VanLaar (Randy); his stepmother Norma Kapteyn; his father-in-law Jim VanAsselt (Carla); his sisters-in-law, Luanne Helsen, Sandee Babb and Laurie Reitsma (Jim); his stepsiblings, Cindy Lameyer (Doug), Scott Stegenga (Shelly) and Kurt Stegenga (Sue); and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Wiltenburg (Jeremy), Jeff Helsen, DJ Babb, Kammy Babb, Cassie, Matt Reitsma, Baily Reitsma, Kelly Reitsma, Jenna Reitsma, Jason Reitsma, Jay Morrison, Noah Morrison (Liz), Jeff Kortman (Gayathri), Greg Kortman (Tracy), Kelsie Kortman, Jake Vanlaar (Abby), Luke Vanlaar and Micah VanLaar.
