She was predeceased by: her husband Michael "Mike" Griegelis; and her parents, John Meekhof and Henrietta "Mae" Meekhof. She is survived by: her sister Deborah "Deb" Meekhof; her close friend Virginia "Gini" Kimmer; her son Steven "Steve" Griegelis Sr.; her family Debbie Bolen; and her grandchildren, Steven Griegelis (Kaity), Christell Griegelis, Junior Milam, Bryan Fowler and Karisten Griegelis.

Donations may be made in Joanne's honor to Spectrum Health Hospice of West Michigan and Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Lowell, MI.
