He was predeceased by: his wife E. Joyce; and his daughter Pamela Ann. He is survived by: his children, Susan Rigas (Peter), David Gerst Jr. (Leslie) and Mark Gerst (Michelle); his grandchildren, David Rigas (Angela), Dr. David Gerst III (Monica), Molly Anderson (Bryan), Meghan Runion (Garrett), Paulina Levy (Jesse Guevara-Lehker), Remington Gerst, Marc Gerst, Nick Rigas (Serena), Katie DeCamp (Matt), Susie Rigas, Kevin Tyler (Kira) and Kelsey Tyler; and his sister-in-law Kay Hinkston. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
