He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Hunt; his parents, Leo Hunt and Leona Hunt; his parents-in-law, Albert and Mable Morris; his siblings, Pearl Johnston, June Hooker, Jacqueline Churchill, Doris Osborne, Patricia Van Sickle and John Hunt; and his granddaughter Jessie Hunt.

He is survived by: his sister Ruth Troup; his children, Leo Hunt, Lori Nowak (Dennis) and Joey Hunt; his grandchildren, Matthew Nowak (Natasha), Chad Nowak (Lindsey), Timothy Nowak (Christine), Bryan Nowak, Joey Hunt Jr. (Kristyn) and Tiffany Hunt; his great grandchildren, Tyler Vroman, Garrett Nowak, Margaret, Annabelle Nowak, Natalie, Jocelyn Thompson, Pennelope, Finnian Nowak, Quincee Meyer-Hunt and Keith Hunt; and also, Barry Hunt (Jeanette), Carol Wingeier (Larry) and John Hunt (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
