She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Liley and Alpha Liley; her husband Clarence Schultz; her grandson Patrick Maguire; her sister Virginia; her brother-in-law William Angst; her siblings, Patricia Norris and Richard; and her siblings-in-law, Betsy Liley and Dr. Don Bradley.

She is survived by: her children, David Schultz, Laurie Feldkamp, Judy Burkman, Nancy Mastalerz, Mary Schultz, Paul Schultz, Ann Maguire and Eric Schultz; her sister Marilyn Bradley; and her brother-in-law Donald Schultz. She is also survived by her eight children, 19 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

In place of flowers, a donation in Shirley's honor can be made to either Brighton Hospice, Angela Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. .
