The passing of Janet L. Richardson of Livonia, Michigan, born in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Newing and Margaret Newing (Thompson); her husband Bill; her brother Charles Newing II; and her nephew Charles Newing III.

She is survived by: her children, Andrea Hume and Douglas Richardson (Susan); her grandchildren, Lauren, Gabriella, Ava and Angelina; her brother-in-law John Richardson (Claire); her nieces, Jane Erhardt (Jeffery) and Laura Rathkamp (Paul); and her son-in-law Richard Hume. She is also survived by her family, friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home (23720 Farmington Rd, Farmington, MI 48336). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Ceremony the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home (23720 Farmington Rd, Farmington, MI 48336). She dedicated many years sewing for Days for Girls, a charity close to her heart, and taught music to children at Schoolcraft College.
