She is survived by: her daughter Connie Shelton Byars (Nathan Dale Helton); her grandson Nicholas Byars (Betsy); her great grandchild Natalie Rose Byars; and her sister Debra Irene Akers (David).

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Wayne (2 Towne Square St, Wayne, MI 48184). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Glenwood Cemetery (33501 Glenwood Rd, Westland, MI 48184).
