He is survived by: his children, Eric Vertin, Scott Vertin (Bonnie), Amy Sochacki (Mark), Jeff Vertin (Karen) and Cary Kalowick (Michael); his siblings, Donald Vertin (Nancy), Suzanne Pollard, Diane O'Donell, Karen Hume (Steve) and Patricia Hamme; his grandchildren, Shawn, Marc (Camilla), John (Angel), Gordon, Randall (Lindsey), Chelsea, Michelle (Matt Meiring), Jacob (Sarah), Abigail (Teddy Roberts), Valerie (Joseph Gessler), Nathan, Nicole, Nate and Suzy; his great grandchildren, Mila, Isla, Eden, Sophie, Juniper, Gabrielle, Aubree, Troy, Estelle, Tristan, Celine, Miles and Penelope; and his pets, Charlie and Boyka. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
