He was predeceased by: his parents, John McLean and Marie McLean; and his nephew Andrew. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael McLean (Marsha), John McLean (Kathleen), Thomas McLean, Mary Angermeier (Eric) and Ellen Olewnik; his nieces and nephews, Kelley, Michael, Amber, Courtney, Jenna, Dale, Kevin, Katelyn and Kayla; and his girlfriend Linda Fisher.

Memorials may be directed to Michigan Humane Society in Denny's name.
