He was predeceased by: his parents, Alador Giss and Mary Giss; his son Matthew Anderson; and his sisters, Eldoreen Donnell and Mary Moorhead.
He is survived by: his wife Gerrie Giss (Van Tassel); his children, Nadine Mersch (Dan), David Giss (Amanda Lovely) and Kevin Giss (Matthew McMahon); his grandson Lee Mersch; and his sisters, JoAnn Orr and Kathleen Donaldson. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
