He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Strait and Blanche Strait (Houseknecht); his former wife Sue; and his siblings, Kathleen Pease and John Strait.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Strait (Elizabeth) of Jonesville, Cheryl Bean (Rich) of Plymouth and Brenda Edwards (Darryl) of Woodstock, Georgia; his grandchildren, Erin Strait (Bennett Adams), Roger "Bud" Strait Jr. (Gina), Philip Strait (Charity), Tera Bean, Ryan Bean, Kyle Edwards and Carolyn Edwards; his sister JoAnn Tittle of Hillsdale; and his stepchildren, Eric Matheny and Karla Landow (Mark). He is also survived by four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice, Quincy American Legion or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
