He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Pate and Frances Pate (Hawley); and his son John Raymond Pate, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Moyer; and his daughters, Melinda Pate and Lisa Bozung (Vincent). He is also survived by one grandson; ten granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
