He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Abbeg and Eleanor Abbeg (Selewski); his brother Clarence "Joe" Abbeg; and his niece Mary Abbeg. He is survived by: his wife Donna (Simons); his children, Donna Murray (Donn) of Litchfield and Gary Abbeg Jr. of Litchfield; his siblings, Rosemarie England of Coldwater, Shirley Watson (Herb) of Coldwater, Clifford Abbeg (Sue) of Tekonsha, Dennis Abbeg (Linda) of Quincy and Richard Abbeg (Rose) of Quincy; his grandchildren, TJ Spradlin (Chelsea), Lacey Williams, Tyler Abbeg (Amy Neely) and Christopher Abbeg (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Hayden, Lyla, Skylynn, Carter, Lillian and Dillion.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Litchfield Chapel (220 N Chicago St, Litchfield, MI 49252). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Hillsdale County or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
