He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Fouchea and Florence Fouchea (Kraatz); his sister Peggy Fouchea-Peterson; and his brother-in-law Gerald DeShano. He is survived by: his sons, Terry Fouchea, Thomas Fouchea (Tanya), Jimmy Severn, Matt Severn (Cory) and Mark Severn; his grandchildren, Savannah Fouchea, Kristopher Fouchea and Keegan Hale; and his siblings, Richard Fouchea (Linda) and Norma DeShano.
