Theodore Grocholski Obituary

Theodore Chester Grocholski (Uncle Teddy) passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the age of 81. He was the son of the late Peter and Tillie (Majchrzak) Grocholski. Ted was born on July 22, 1943 at home in Linwood, Beaver Township, Michigan. He married Theresa Gucwa on July 22, 1983 at St. Valentine Church. Ted worked at Bay City Milling until it closed. He enjoyed farming, polka dances, spending time with family, playing Santa, and spending time on his John Deere 3010 tractor.

Ted is survived by his wife, Theresa Grocholski, his children, Mary (Jeff) Phinney, and Ann (Matt) Calcutt. Grandchildren, Evan, Lily, JJ, Caleb, Levi, Tucker, Gunnar and Gabby. His brother and sister-in-law's, Frances Kulish, Sylvia Gucwa, Joseph (Pauline) Gucwa, and Rose Ann Kline. He is also survived by Camila, several nieces, nephews, and friends,.

Ted is preceded in death by daughter, Tillie Theresa, parents, Peter and Tillie Grocholski, mother and father-in-law, Stanley and Mary Gucwa, his siblings and brothers and sisters in law Ernest (Gertrude) Grocholski, Florian (Julia) Grocholski, Stanley (Violet) Grocholski, Loretta (Leo) Staszak, Clarence (Ramona) Grocholski, Dorothy (Ted) Rugenstein, Lee Kulish, Stanley Gucwa Jr., Eugene Kline, John Gucwa, and William (Christine) Gucwa.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Prince of Peace – St. Anne Campus 315 W. Center Linwood, Michigan 48634 with Rev. Fr. Prentice Tipton presiding with burial at St. Valentine Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at Rivertown Funeral Chapel 209 S. Huron Kawkawlin, Michigan 48631 on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 2:00pm – 8:00pm. On Friday, friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00am until time of mass.
