It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Calvin Childs of Linden, Michigan, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin L. Childs and Idabelle Childs (Stiff); his wife Deloris Chapman; and his sister Janice Emerton. He is survived by: his children, Marie Hackett and Richard Childs II (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Frederick Hackett (Sara), Kyle Hackett (Mariah), Carrie Tobin (Isaac), Robert Childs, Amanda Sova (Todd) and Sara Williams (Nick); his great grandchildren, Eliana, Gabriella, Isabella, Andrew, Mckenna, Benjamin, Ricky, Drew, Adriane and Derek; his brother Gary Childs; and his close friend Beverly Eiden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Linden Presbyterian Church or Linden Masonic Lodge #132.
