He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Huyck and Esther Huyck (Briggs); his sons, Brian Huyck (Joleen), Gregg Huyck (Brenda) and Neil Huyck (Ann); his grandchildren, Madalena, Spencer, Colin, Renee, Isabelle, Charla, Trisha, Rachel, Caroline and Ella; his wife Mary; his siblings, Sharon and Phil; and also, Kent and Lisa Wabel. He was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren.
