He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Frederic and Iona Williams (May); his son David Williams; and his sons-in-law, Donald French and Mark Gresham.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Carter; his daughters, Carolyn Hatch (Denny), Cherie Gresham, Diane Huber (George) and Linda Johnson (Richard); his daughter-in-law Pam Williams; and his grandchildren, Gerald Croteau, Jr. (Karrie), Travis French (Christy), Brandon French (Tabitha), Joshua Gresham (Lindsey), Chrissy Gresham (Cameron) and Annjanette French. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
