He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Niec and Wanda Niec (Reszka); his wife Eleanor Kalocy; and his son David. He is survived by: his sons, Mark Niec (Liz) and Dennis Niec (Kim); and his sister Lillian Nord. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
