He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudy Daniels and Hazel Daniels; his siblings, Donald Daniels, Leo Daniels, Ruth Renfro, Martha Vann and Viola Daniels; and his son Joseph Daniels.
He is survived by: his brother John Daniels (Sue); his wife Etta Mae Daniels; and his children, Richard Daniels Jr. (Linda), Carol Kettler (John), Diane Reyes (Ramon), John Daniels (Cindy M.), David Daniels (Cindy A.) and Christine Daniels (Mike). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, his family and friends, who were touched by his kindness.
