He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Mates; and his parents, Lewis Mates and Margaret Mates. He is survived by: his children, Craig (Linda), Tom (Delia), Michelle (Brian) and Corey; his sister Joan Harker; his great grandchildren, Maddie, Alissa, Sophie, Lee and Trecyn; and also, Jennie (Eric), Shawn, Jordyne, Jonathan, Henry, Olivia and Aiden.
Memorial donation may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
