He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Gorter. He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Gorter (Smid) of North Haeldon; his wife Delores Gorter (Merkle) of Lewiston; and his siblings, Edwin Gorter (Wendy) of Midland Park, Ronald Gorter (Barb) of North Haeldon, Nancy Kraai (Lance) of North Haeldon, Steve Gorter (Laura) of North Haeldon and Sandy Duffy (Chris) of Stockholm. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.
