He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Niergarth and Dorothy Niergarth (Bauer); his children, James Niergarth, Jerri Bayles and Janine Rybinski; his brother Grover Niergarth; and his half-brother Leroy "Roy" Niergarth.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Ericks; his daughters, Jacqueline Morgan (Wil) of Victorville, CA and Janice Traxel (Tom) of West Allis, WI; and his half-brother Ernie Bauer. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
