He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bissell and Ruth Bissell; his wife Phebe Arlene Bissell (Clancy); his daughter-in-law Penny Bissell; and his brothers-in-law, William Shaw, Neil Tesch and Stan Harr.
He is survived by: his sons, James L. Bissell (Victoria Wilt) and Charles Bissell (Linda); his grandchildren, Matt Bissell (Molly), Kathy Barr (Kyle), Charlie Bissell (Amanda) and Carol Gradowski (Zach); his siblings, Betty Goorhouse, Mary Shaw, Linda Tesch, Richard Bissell (Mary) and Sharon Rogers; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Hensley (Floyd) and Laura May Harr. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
