He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Etheliah Eyer (Adams); and his sister-in-law Sally Eyer. He is survived by: his father Wilbur Wilson Eyer Sr.; his wife Barbara Ann Eyer (Fetterley); his children, Mark Wilson Eyer, Matthew Robert Eyer (Tami) and Jodi Lynn Heisler (Eyer); his grandchildren, Melissa Kerr, Morgan Eyer, Mackenzie Houghton, Trafford Hannon, Benjamin Eyer, Samatha Sanchez, Hunter Heisler and Abigail Heisler; and his siblings, Nancy Harper (Lenard), Cleveland Eyer (Linda) and Steve Eyer. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
