She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hutchinson and Lottie Hutchinson; her husband John Smid; her son Terry Smid; and her brothers, Paul Hutchinson, Robert Hutchinson and Hubert Hutchinson.
She is survived by: her children, Jan Smid (Deborah) of Rochester and Debra Strolle (Michael) of Fredericksburg, Texas; her daughter-in-law Pamela Smid of Pleasant Lake, Michigan; her grandchildren, Martha Owen (Dewey) of Leslie, Michigan, Sarah Smid (Jason Sheridan) of Mason, Michigan, Heidi Neuvirth (Andrew) of Rochester, Minnesota, Armanda Vanderheiden (Eric) of Rochester, Minnesota, Emily Janak (Mike) of Fond, Betsy McGowan (Joe) of Colchester, Vermont and Clayton Strolle (Lauren) of Austin, Texas; her great grandchildren, Zachery Owen (Kyonna Bacon), Grant Walker, Connor Owen, Garrett Walker, Henry Neuvirth, Jonathan Vanderheiden, Caitlyn McGowan, Abigail Neuvirth, Haylee McGowan, Sophia Vanderheiden, Ella Strolle, Kinsley Janak and Lillian Janak; her siblings, Carol Knapp (Lamont) of Edon, Ohio and James Hutchinson (Jane) of Maumee, Ohio; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Hutchinson of West Unity and Doris Eckhardt of Independence. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.
