He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James W. Townsend and Margaret A. McCully; his siblings, Robert Townsend, Jimmy Townsend, Janice Townsend Spencer, Georgia Townsend Videto and Elizabeth Ann Townsend; and his nephews, Mark Miller and Gary Videto.
He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl Vincent of Ackerson Lake; his significant other's children, Kari Gietek (Gary) and Corey Vincent (Ginger); his grandsons, Nathan Gietek (Traci), Hunter Gietek (Sarah-Jane Sterrett), Tommy Vincent (Samantha-Jo Eisenmann) and Reed Vincent; his sisters, Carol Ann Disley (James) and Patricia King; and his nephew Douglas Miller. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
