He was predeceased by: his wife Vicki Markcum; and his stepparents, John and Bernice. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Peters (Wallace), John Markcum (Toni) and James Markcum (Teresa); his grandchildren, Emily Ireland (Jake), Wyatt Peters, Makayla Peters, Kyle Karn (Jessica), Taylor Myers (Andrew), Kaitlin Clear, Zach Markcum, Alex Markcum, Aaron Glandon and Emily Carmoney; and his siblings, Bill Markcum (Debbie), Janice Markcum, John Markcum, Raymond Markcum (Tammy) and Geretta King.
