He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Amerila (Norton) and Foster Lyle Rice; and his siblings-in-law, John Hummel, James Hummel, Larry Shipman, Ruthann Rice and Pattee Rice.
He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Hummel, Lynn Rice, Ruth Hummel, Alice Goetz (Kendall), Paul Rice and Wayne Rice. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
