He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jefferson and Nannie Gipson (McPherson); his wife Catherine Gipson (Marshall); and his siblings, Mary Combs, Warrick, George, Irene, William, Charles, Brison, Steve, Erma, Russell, Danny and Annie.
He is survived by: his brother Earn. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
