He is survived by: his children, Mattie Smith (Earl) and Ernest Hobart II (Sara); his grandchildren, Michael Hobart (Ashley), Cannon Hobart, Earl Smith III, Eileen Smith and Colleen Childrey (Jon); his great grandchildren, Michael Rex Hobart and Kenneth Graden Hobart; and his sister Lois Riever (Bill).
