She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard Walter Schalla (Stretch); her brother Bud Richards; her parents, Howard Richards and Bernita Richards; her son-in-law Jim; her daughter Lisa Benedict (James); her granddaughter Schalla Swab (Justin); her great grandchildren, Riley, Harley and Carter; her sister Joelene Wellman (William); and her nieces and nephews, Jeff Wellman (Judy), Sherri Wellman, Steve Richards (Margaret) and Ellen Morrison.

Donna donated to numerous charities during her lifetime and was considered overall a "Grand Ole Gal.".
