He was predeceased by: his parents, Simona Aguilar and Miguel Mata; his wife Maria Luiza Mata Garcia; his daughter Emma Wilson; his son-in-law Gordon Troman; and his grandchildren, Daniel Tyria and Hope Troman.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Mata (Irene), Elizabeth Troman, Rene Mata, Mary (Sal Mendez), Miguel Mata, Lusmaria (Michael Wahl), Maria Elena (Bryan Sorenson), Ester (Tim Stover), Baudelio Mata, Jr. (Jennifer), Susana (David Sabin), Daniel Mata (Michelle), Hector Mata, Paul (Tanya), Phillip Mata (Deanna) and Tomas Mata (Delana); his close friend Antonio Rivera; and also, Miguel Mata, Baudelio Mata, Azucena Mata, Elipio Mata, Cristobal and Juan Macias. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
