The passing of Mary Ann Greider of Leonidas, Michigan, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 24, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Kramer and Mary Margaret Kramer (Detmer); her children-in-law, Nancy Greider and Timothy McElhone; her siblings-in-law, Wayne Marshall, David Greider, Lance Greider (Hannah) and Barbara Colburn (Merton); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Walker and Adam McElhone.
She is survived by: her husband Sherman; her children, Sherman, Jr. Greider (Mary Ann) of Perry, Gayle Green (Dan) of Portage, Gary Greider (Sheryl) of St. Johns, Gregg Greider of Lawton and Christine McElhone of Mason; her grandchildren, Monica Graham (Mark), Jeremiah Green, Samantha DeVries (Mark), Takeo Muraoka, Sean Muraoka, Zaslow Maples, Nicola Stockwell (Kevin), Matthew Greider (Meg), Ryan Greider, Mary Margaret McElhone and Abigail Merchantz (William); her grandson-in-law Jason Walker; her siblings, Sandra Marshal, Linda Bailey (Mark) and James McCabe (Donna); and her brother-in-law Brian Greider (Fran). She is also survived by twenty four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She would often donate her time cleaning the church grounds, was a member of the Altar Society, and taught Sunday School after Mass. Helping others was Mary Ann's true calling in life and what a successful life it was.
