He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Barnes and Eola Barnes; and his sister Lorna Northam (Duane). He is survived by: his wife Vera H. Kellogg; his children, Karolynn Ferguson of Battle Creek and Charles Barnes (Laree) of Lagrange, Georgia; his granddaughter Courtney James (Will); and his great grandchild Amelia of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by step-granddaughters and step-great grandchildren.
