She was predeceased by: her brother John Michael Hurren. She is survived by: her husband Harry Joseph; her children, Sandra Lynn Sheils (Andrew) and Harry Michael Joseph (Cori); her grandsons, Gabriel Quinn and Mason Michael Joseph; her siblings, Dr. James Patrick Hurren (late Mary) and Sue Wolosiewicz (late Waldemar); and her pet Snickers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharon's name to the animal rescue Happy Tails (noted on the site) reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.
