He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Hohnke and Margaret Hohnke (Schnehain); and his brother Gordon Hohnke. He is survived by: his wife Christine C. Larson; his son Ethan Hohnke; and his brothers, George Hohnke, Alan Hohnke and Douglas Hohnke (Eva Brown).
