She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Newbre and Ruth Newbre (Comstock); her husband John Hawkins; her daughter Jean Churchill (Hawkins); and her siblings, Alton, Fred, Lynn Newbre, Elaine Otto and May Hatfield.
She is survived by: her children, John Hawkins II (Sherri) of Gladwin and Leslie Kuhtic (Hawkins) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Katie Mccausland (Adam), Amy Churchill, John Hawkins (Danielle), Nicholas Kuhtic (Ashlee), James Hawkins and Alisha Kuhtic; and her great grandchildren, Lila, Jacob McCausland, Ella and Avery Kuhtic. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
